June Opie Fellowship
The award, available to Citizens and Permanent Residents of Australia, Canada and New Zealand, is designed as an incentive for students of high academic achievement undertaking postgraduate study who have a severe disability.
Shona Butterfield Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage students who have a disability to achieve their full potential within their area of study. Successful applicants will be provided with the opportunity to study in their own home, supported by freephone access to lecturer(s), library and other services.
Open Polytechnic Students Disability Study Award
The Students with Disability Study Awards, worth up to $1000 each, are to encourage and support New Zealand Open Polytechnic students with a disability towards completing a qualification. Applicants must be currently enrolled at Open Polytechnic and have successfully completed a Level 3 certificate or at least 3 courses at Level 4 or above.
Ian Campbell Scholarship
Applications are open to individuals committed to tertiary study and in need of assistance for payment of study fees, educational equipment or books. The Scholarship assists in the meeting of costs for people with paraplegia and physical disabilities or those working in this field to undertake or further a course of tertiary study.
Ray Heath/Edith Gooley Leadership Fund
To support through grants, people with physical disabilities who wish to further their leadership aspirations. The fund will cover information technology, travel, course fees, accomodation and supplementary related costs.
Oppenheim Tertiary Education Trust Fund
The Oppenheim Trust was founded in November 1989 by Dr and Mrs Oppenheim to provide assistance to Blind Low Vision NZ clients undertaking or about to enter tertiary education.
Priority is given to assist with the cost of fees. Successful grants are awarded in mid-February each year.
